Extractions

There are a number of reasons why a tooth may need to be removed. Some of the most common causes include dental decay, infected teeth and heavily broken down teeth beyond restorability. In a lot of these cases It is necessary to remove the tooth to help prevent infection starting and/or spreading. Teeth are removed under local anaesthetic and we aim to make this experience as comfortable as possible.

Root canal treatment

When the nerve in the tooth becomes infected it can form a dental abscess. A root canal treatment aims to save the tooth by removing the nerve from the tooth, making it sterile and filling it with a rubber-like material helping to prevent infection. A crown may be advised after a root canal treatment as the best mode of restoration.

Nervous patients

We take the time to listen to all our patient’s needs and concerns and together formulate a treatment plan which suits you and meets your individual expectations.

The treatment will be explained to you every step of the way.

If you feel you cannot commit to treatment in general practice, we can offer you a referral to have the treatment completed under sedation.
